#183: Best Dry Eye Products for your Valentine

Feb 13, 2023

Happy Valentine's Day! Let's talk about your next Valentine's Day gift. I suggest treating your eyes like your Galentine.

You know that I love eyes, right? I talk about them all the time. They are very precious to me, and I take really good care of my eyes. I like to keep them hydrated. I cleanse them. I use the best products in, on, and around them, so that they serve me well. So, I'm going to share some of my favorite products for you so you can think about getting your eyes a Valentine's Day gift.

#1) Hydrate Your Eyes

A new preservative-free artificial tear just hit the market called Ivizia. I love Ivizia because it has two ingredients that are super hydrating.

  • Hyaluronic acid: it draws water to your eyes and holds it
  • Trehelose: is a compund that protects against drying out, or desiccation

The tear comes preservative free in a multi-dose bottle. It's easy to dispense. Just drop it and go. Hydrate your eyes with Ivizia. Love it.

#2) Haromonize Your Eyes

The NeutraWipe from TearRestore is a hypochlorous acid cleanser in a wipe. Genius. Hypocholorous acid is a natural antiseptic. It's got great benefits:

  • Reduces the bacteria around the eyes by 90%
  • Eliminates redness and irritation.
  • Gentle cleansing that is safe for daily and long term use.

To use this wipe, just unfold it and wipe it over your closed lids. Gently spread the solution along the eyelashes and eyelid margins. There is no need for excessive rubbing.  Do not rinse it off. You want that hypochlorous acid to stay and keep your lids and lashes free bacteria. I love the TearRestore NeutrWipe because it makes this cleansing solution easy to carry with you on the go. The wipes can easily be stored in your purse or gym bag.

#3) Beautify Your Eyes

Visionary eyeshadow sticks from twenty/twenty beauty are one of my favorite products to wear on my eyelids. My favorite color is Starry Eyed, which is a golden color.

It's easy to use these eyeshadow sticks. You color them onto your lids. Then, blend it lightly with your fingertips, and you're ready to go. It adds that pop of color. And, they won't irritate your dry eyes:

  • Packed with hydrating gentle ingredients like castor oil, argan oil, hyaluronic acid and Vitamin E
  • The creamy, smooth eye shadow sticks stay on the lid and the product doesn't flake into the eyes like powdered shadows
  • Free of parabens, loose glitter, carbon black, lead & coal tar

Starry-Eyed is one of their newest colors that Just launched in January. There were four new colors in January and 7 colors total. You'll be sure to be able to find your favorite one.

#4) Pamper Your Eyes

This is called Get Growing by twenty/twenty beauty. This is a lash and brow growth serum. So it's made of three different oils: argon, coconut, and castor oil. This blend of oils will support, hydrate, moisturize both the lids and the lash follicles.  It helps them to be longer and stronger as they grow.

The benefits of this lash serum are numerous:

  • Free of prostaglandin, parabens, phthalates, silicones, fragrance
  • Safe for sensitive skin & eyes
  • Does not cause redness of the eyes or skin

Use Get Growing Lash and Brow serum at bedtime. I put a drop of it on my finger and rub it into my lashes and my brows. The product also comes with applicators. Use the wands to paint the serum onto your lid margin.

This Valentine's Day, don't forget to show your eyes some love.  These great products will make your eyes feel pampered, nourished, and moisturized. Try them out! Your eyes will thank you for it.
