Want to Write a Book?

Sep 21, 2019

Have you ever thought about writing a book?  Joseph Epstein, “81 percent of Americans feel that they have a book in them — and should write it.”  It makes it sound like there are many aspiring authors out there.  So, I thought I would share a little bit about my journey to being an author.

The book that I have published is actually not the book that I have dreamed about publishing for decades.  So, maybe there is still another book in me.  I can understand that many of you may have a dream of a book in your mind, or maybe 5 books.  I wanted to share with you 3 tools you need to write a book.

Tool #1 - Know How to Write a Book

I used an online program.  They took me through the process step by step:

I had a coach who kept me accountable for reaching my goal.  Truth be told, it took me 6 months to complete the entire book.  I felt like a loser because the program was supposed to be completed in 3 months.

But, you know what, it didn't matter.  I still wrote a book.  The book is for anyone to read to improve their dry eye symptoms.  And, I absolutely was not an English major.  Thank goodness for editors.  Your editor will make you sound like a genius, I promise.  It is their job to find all those tricky grammatical errors, not yours.

An online self-publishing program will spell out all of the different steps you need to take to get the book written and published.  Don't forget to check out the article.

Tool #2 - Get your Book Published

Once the book is written and edited, you need to get it into book form.  Books can be available in print, digital, and audio form.  This is the best article to know how to publish your book yourself:

You definitely need this resource.  I don't think you are going to print the book at home and mail it out to your purchasers.  There are so many steps you will need to take to get your ideas into a printed book.  Check out the article.

Tool #3 - Alleviate your Dry Eyes

If you suffer from dry eye symptoms, you know how difficult it is for you to spend extended hours in front of a computer.  You need to alleviate your dry eye symptoms.  My book is your answer.  Grab a copy easily on Amazon.

Specifically, chapter 7 discusses exactly how to set up your workstation to eliminate eye strain.  You can learn all about the best humidifier to keep your work area at the proper atmosphere for your eyes.  And, if red, watery eyes are your main problem, then you may appreciate chapter 1 as well.

I want to help you make your dreams come true.  Keep checking in on this blog.  Better yet, I will send the blog directly to your inbox.  You can sign up here for direct delivery of the blog weekly to your inbox, plus I will include my guide to artificial tears.  you will definitely want to know the best tears to use to keep your eyes hydrated.
